Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a uncommon pop sensation: A celebrity who has strayed from country music to pop culture and became a pop icon that will be around forever, and will conquer all of the world. Swift left her country roots as though they were part of her skin, revealing she was arguably the smartest pop-oriented singer/songwriter of her time, someone who was able to harness the mood of the moment and personalize it and also perform in the opposite direction. Swift's early songs, including her neo tribute to Tim McGraw, showed off the talents of her. But her 2008 album Fearless revealed a songwriter who was re-discovering herself and was able to draw a wide audience. Fearless wound up having considerable legs not only within the U.S. where it racked the record with six platinum singles, due to the Top Ten hits Love Story and You Belong with Me but throughout the globe, performing especially well within the U.K. Canada and Australia. Swift's new album, Speak Now, released just two years after the first one, consolidated the success of this album. It helped propel Swift to the heights of fame. Swift's popularity continued to grow over her next three albums - Red (2012) 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017) and found her moving assuredly into a realm of pop music where she already belonged. Although she slowed down the production of her folklore album, and Evermore albums in the year 2020, she was still at the forefront of pop music.
