Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy is a 16 year old American from Miami Florida. She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist named Anya Taylor-Joy. Her father is an native of Argentina with Scottish and English descendant is her mother. Her mother is of Spanish as well as English origin. Taylor Joy is the youngest of four siblings. One of them is from each of her parents' prior marriages. Family lived at Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy reached the age of six, then moved to Victoria district of London. According to Taylor-Joy, this move was traumatic and she was unable to study English to the hope of moving back to Argentina. Her school had to change between Northlands to Hill House. She then enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she learned dance and participated in productions. She dropped out of high school at 16 to pursue an acting career. Taylor-Joy was born to be an actress at a young age. The realization of her dreams came when Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling job.
